Originally an event exclusively for collaborative computer programming, Hackathons have evolved into a multi-disciplinary template for collaborative ideation. For anyone interested in healthcare innovation this hackathon will have you working alongside the leading minds in healthcare innovation today with integrative teams, speakers, as well as mentors who will guide you through a high-energy process of perspective and creation. FOCUS?

Following last year’s format of open-ended ideation around the broad topic of “health care innovations”, this year we’re focusing on the evolving field of “Telehealth” and healthcare within the “home” for older adults. With the advances in sensors for home monitoring, wearable devices, and ubiquitous communications technologies, we have an unprecedented opportunity for delivering effectively tailored health interventions on a large scale!

HOW LONG?

Hackathons range into time from day sessions to multiple day sessions. In our case were offering a 2 and a half-day, high-energy event that is designed to present problems relevant to healthcare and formulate solutions among teams. Hacking Healthcare brings together individuals of all disciplines: nursing, engineering, computer science, etc., to influence innovations that are well rounded. By emphasizing multi-disciplinary teams, your teams can stay connected beyond the hackathon to further possible business ventures and
